Thinking about applying.. realistically between kpdx and kslc & kfat would be the best option if I wanted to live on base ... in terms of upgrade time

All three of those bases have a long upgrade time. SLC is close to ten years PDX and FAT are a little less.

Can anyone please confirm it will be own room during Sim? If so, is it allowed to have my wife stay during sim?

Thank you in advance

If you get your own room you can do what ever you wish. I have been through training five times at SkyWest and would not recommend having the wife there for all of sim. I have always thought that sim was the most difficult part of training in terms of studying on your own. Now on days off I would always go home.

Yes it's confirmed. My class is finishing up sims now and had our own rooms the day after we passed our SV.

Guy across the hall from me had his girlfriend come stay with him for a bit.

It is not confirmed. It all depends on where you go to sims. If you stay in Slc you will have your own room. If you go to cvg you will either have a suite with two rooms (doors) or you will share a regular two bed hotel room. It seems that every other class gets Slc while the other goes to cvg.

Everyone I know (myself included) that did sim in CVG had a 2 bedroom suite with their sim partner. 2 separate rooms, shared living room and kitchen

In cvg right now. Half my class got that setup and the rest of us are in a different hotel sharing rooms unless you want to pay for your own. No kitchen no microwave. Only a mini fridge.

Wow.. that is complete bs. That is far too long to not be able to make your own food or anything else. I was at the residence inn during my sims in April and was pleased with the setup. Bummed to hear this

It is hard to believe such a "good company" would treat it's new pilots like that.
