Noobie question of the day, what are CDO's?

You fly the last flight out to an outstation then go to the hotel for around 4-7 hours then fly the first flight back to the hub.

So far grossed $85/block hour
Or
$20/hour at work (TAFB)

But really I wouldn't bring up pay in the interview while I encourage you to be fully informed formed on pay before taking the job, an inadvertent tone of voice or facial expression while talking pay could make the interviewer sour. You can't negotiate and have nothing to gain and all to lose- just friendly advice.

Best trips ever...as long as they pay decently!

Nope...2 hours to being through security, not the gate.

Oh ok...thanks for the clarification...it's been a while since I've been on reserve.

Any current SKW guys care to share the average of hours you work vs hours you actually get paid in a day? (ie work 10 but only paid for 6) I have an interview coming up and am just thinking of a few questions before hand

Excuse my ignorance, but my experience is with foreign carriers where there's no per diem; do you get per diem for your 'time away from base' or the 'duty' time on those four days?
Cheers

Per diem on time away from base. I'll add that's a pretty crappy 4 day. I apologize if I come across as rude - it's not my intent. Not uncommon to come across 3 days paying more than 20 hours.

TAFB @1.85$ (1.90$ in 2017).

upgrade times and all that nonsense is basically going to be a mute point once these flag of convenience carriers get their services going. People getting on at regionals now or getting into aviation will probably have a messy career ahead of them as the legacies shrink and the jobs go overseas. within 10 years, the US airline industry will be a disaster and not worth working for. reconsider your options and plan a quick back up
