Crew Scheduling is preprogrammed to say 'No' to all pilot requests, even if it would help them out. You'll see what I mean...

You can't just call and ask for any trip though. It's spelled out in the PPM. Inverse seniority order unless you bid call first according to the bucket system. I do wish we could get proffering though. That would be a huge QOL improvement for reserves.

I'm in the same boat, asking everyone but no one knows anything.

Any updates on news if IAH got the flying awarded again from UAL and if they are keeping the base open?

Nothing new since the last old announcements, but if the staffing situation at Mesa is any indication, they won't be able to staff the new ERJs coming there soon...while SkyWest on the other hand can easily do so and is more than willing. Just give it six months, it should be interesting to see.

When did Mesa get more awarded?

They were the lowest bidder but wait skw will bid low next time also but I imagine they will end up at rah.

If I had a nickel for every time someone said Mesa can't staff their flying, and we're going to get their flying, I'd have a couple bucks by now! We always said the same thing when I was at Comair 9 years ago! Maybe it's to make us feel good? Idk.
