Yes the scheduling Rep said we are bringing a couple back, one to help on the PDX-SEA and another as a spare. But yes it is to cover for Horizon who said they are parking 2 Q400s

When should I interview?

I have heard you can interview for SkyWest at 2 to 3 months before you have the required hours.

Right now I am just shy of 1,100 hours and been working as a CFI but our weather here hasn't been great so I'm not getting much flight time.

There is a hiring event here in late February but I doubt I will be within 2 to 3 months of ATP minimums by then.

Should I wait a couple of months until I am closer to 1500 hours before I interview or would it be ok to interview with between 1,100 and 1,200 hours?

Any ideas?

Typically they want you to interview no more than 6 months before class, if 6 months pass you have to reinterview. So depends on how much you're flying . Really you will probably have to wait a month from interview before class so plan accordingly. Interview date doesn't effect seniority, only class date does so get in as soon as you can. Of course you can't go to class till you have atp Mins

I expect I would be able to get the remaining 400 within 6 months after late February over 7 months from now.

I am already in the Pilot Pathway program so I guess I have some kind of seniority at least while in training.

So the worst case is I don't get the hours and have to interview again.

I think I should start hitting the books.
