How many letters of recommendation are required in the application process? I'm unable to find it on the SkyWest careers page.

What impact does the ERJ/CRJ choice have other than bases? Does it impact how long you are reserve or how long it takes to upgrade? Thanks much.

If I were you guys I'd enjoy CTP. I'm not saying party in between classes but I had 10 days out here for CTP. 4 days of class, 3 days of nothing, 3 days of sim.
Class is very informative so pay attention. Sims have no standards and really are just for fun. Try to keep the knowledge if you get to fly the sim of your airplane (sometimes ERJ guys get the CRJ sim if it gets backed up). When you have free time or even a free day off, go do something, go to the bars (if you have nothing the next day), go ski, go sightseeing.
My biggest regret was not doing much except going out 1 night after we finished the class.
The reason I say that is because of how intense ground school is and you'll wish you did. If you have a schedule of straight CTP class to sim then maybe not so much. Don't treat CTP like a stressful ground school, it's not like that. Relax and enjoy yourself before the firehose hits you in the face. Last thing you need to do is stress over CTP. And the days before ground...enjoy your freedom.

Does anyone know where I can get the training schedule/calendar for the ERJ? I'm headed to Denver in a couple weeks and am trying to figure out if/when there are days off or breaks in the fire hose to keep life upright back home?

Long answer:
Obviously there are less ERJ bases than CRJ bases. If you want the west coast soon then go ERJ, if you want midwest soon (ORD, DTW, MSP) do the CRJ.
Upgrade times and reserve times are lower for the CRJ, but it depends which base. For example fastest upgrade overall is CRJ DTW, but a junior ERJ base could upgrade sooner than a senior CRJ base. Same with reserve. Overall, CRJ has less reserve time (DTW) but a junior ERJ base could have less reserve time than a senior CRJ base. Currently they have a 2 year seat lock, but I know guys who did FO on the ERJ and are upgrading into a CRJ.
SkyWest's website has the official list of junior CAs and FOs by aircraft and base here: Pilot » SkyWest Airlines
(Just scroll down to the "domicile map/seniority" tab)
Pick your poison. Both aircraft seem to have some pros and cons.

I'd suggest emailing your recruiter that has been sending you all the emails. They can get you in touch with the instructors who have the detailed class schedules. I did the same thing and was able to get what I needed.

This might vary from your schedule but to give you an idea, we started on a Thursday and went for 2 days, had Saturday off then came back for 4 days of indoc and just had 4 days off, starting systems on Monday. Schedule goes from M-F from now on.
Hope that helps!
