It's either the money with a terrible basing option or a company with a much sturdier and vouched reputation. Someone start playing the jeopardy theme song!

I wouldn't get your hopes up. I'm pretty sure it's what 2 more years until pay negotiations come up? Just in January they got 60 pilots on the CRJ out of 2 classes. They don't seem to have troubles hiring people at all.

Is under 2 years still not considered "low" upgrade time? Come on. Also, pay isn't considerably better...bonuses are. Which leads to another argument by itself.

The way I see it is you can take that pay and 1 year upgrade and NY base but is that really the QOL you want? Apparently not to the new pilots that are choosing QOL over a fat bonus. Can't blame them.

Sometimes money is just simply not the most important element to be sought after.

True, but the question becomes is life really so much better at Skywest to ignore that much more money elsewhere.

Apparently, the answer is that life at SkyWest for many is better.

Is it? Or is that just what they were told? I mean, we all don't get to try out each regional before we choose.

Anything rumor mill wise? From my understanding of what was said later on that day, if there are bonuses, they probably won't effect current employees so much as new guys (so the typical bonus to attract people).
I haven't heard anything about a pay increase. If they are filling classes, it's unlikely things will change. If they do end up giving bonuses, the current pilot group would undoubtedly get whatever new hires get. People come here for the base options, work rules, and pilot group.

Nail on the head. I'm a relative newby and if I had it to do over again I'd of chosen PSA. The money/flow have absolutely nothing to do with it either it's all about their SAP and the QOL that alone brings. That's not to say that im in anyway disappointed in Skywest. The grass is always greener.

I'd take the 1 year upgrade in NY for the right Air Line.
