Hey I'm currently at another regional on the 175 thinking about making the move over to Skywest to be based on the west coast (where I live).. Can someone tell me about how long would it take to get LAX on the Ejet and how long reserve is? Thanks.

If you go DEN 175 you only fly for UAX right?
How many 175 departures are there from DEN with United?

Keep in mind that you don't only fly in and out of your domicile or hub. You might be based in DEN but may very well fly throughout the entire system. It's possible to leave on the first leg, day one of a four day and not return until the last leg of the trip again. A DEN crew may very well spend there time on the west coast or flying in and out of ORD/IAH.

Not to mention that you might not even fly the plane out of your base. They might throw you in the back and reposition you! :D

The last award into LAX/175 was awarded 12/20/16, went to a guy out of training. However there were no FOs allowed into LAX/175 in January, Feb, or March.

Junior LAX/175 guaranteed lineholder is a Jan 2016 hire, so that's 15 months of reserve.

Which base has the shortest wait on the 175 to be a guaranteed lineholder? What is its wait?

Probably ORD. Definitely nowhere out West.

I have heard a year on reserve at ORD on the E175. LAX doesn't seem that different than ORD and we know there are new E175s going to LAX. The last I looked United only shows 7 more SkyWest E175s coming on board during 2017. The document doesn't show where they will be based.

Ya I'm gonna try to transfer to SFO, being one of those trainees that got LAX out of training on the 175..

Yeah I mean it definitely makes logical sense. I'm just saying at this point it seems that rumor was made overnight by someone thinking what you just said. Wondered if there was actual talk about it. Would be wonderful if we could make it happen...hopefully!

I've been here since August 2014 and the big rumor in my newhire class was that a BOI base was opening any day now. Just sayin'...
