I imagine SFO is realitivly junior but can anyone provide any insight on how long it would take to get based in SFO? Is most of the flying out of sfo CRJ or ERJ and what are the typical trips out of SFO look like? When the time comes down the road is SFO any different on the captain side for seniority?

Sorry if these have been asked before

Don't take the CRJ. SFO just went fairly junior on the 175.

Are junior FOs on reserve flying very much at SFO versus ORD or any of the other relatively junior 175 FO bases?

Sometimes they can, sometimes they can't (i.e. PUB)
People really don't like flying on T-Props, and then you add on poor performance, poor service and a high cancellation rate like GLA had in the midwest and the traveling public will drive or drive to a bigger airport.

Add in OO has all of United's network to connect people in Denver, like Envoy has all of American's network in DFW.
There is a staggering difference in the number of people that drive to GCK to connect through DFW relative to the number of people in Dodge City that simply want to go to Denver.

There were very well populated areas with very poor ridership simply due to GLA. Envoy has boosted ridership in some of these areas to unimaginable levels.

Were going back to PUB, hopefully this time it works out.

Yes. But Reserve base only to start... think it was 9 each seat.

I mainly ask because I think my bid choices will be in order:
1 - My home base
2 - Base where I will have a chance to get a decent amount of flying as a very junior FO

I understand that #2 is very relative given the staffing levels of the 175.

Ok so it's currently a reserve base or will be? 9 a seat? Is there any idea when it will be open to hold a line?

O ok kool. Yeah am having to bail out of XJT because I lost my base here in ATL so trying to figure out my next move. I feel Skywest is a great option my only reservation is not having a union. PSA is on my mind as well. Any advice from anyone with insight would be greatly appreciated to help weigh this tough decision :)

ATL will go Jr, and you can do “soft landings” huge for XJT folks.. upgrade will crash to under a year by spring (my prediction) ive been alpa and have watched OO carefully with the union deal.. i have not seen one shady thing happen to a pilot... except DD and that was a personal conflict between 2 people that got resolved... (and i saw him driving a Porsche, so it couldn’t have been that bad for him)
