Some people need to research where that brisk walk thing even come from. It has zero application for today's aviation, but who would expect the FAA to do their job and update a regulation.

Is the "brisk walk" a regulation for the FAA to update?

Having observed the history of regionals in NYC, I suspect you're right.

My taxi speed is related to where we are on flying the block.

It's not in the regs, but it is in one of the faa pubs, aim or flying handbook.

The faa can apply 91.13 to anything in writing. Reality is they're not going to enforce the fast walk rule for an airliner on a three mile parallel taxi way. They might enforce it for a PPL on an fbo ramp..

Latest update for "brisk walk" definition: "the speed at which an average pilot would approach the rest room when a bean burrito has kicked in." :D

Haters gonna hate man. I have little confidence in the ATL 175 rumor. I simply stated I had heard it awhile back.

Seems like Republic would do any east coast 175 flying.

FWIW the MSP CP told me a month ago that more "dual class" flying was coming to MSP. I asked if it was 900s and he just emphasized "dual class."

Compass is also in the final stages of winding down their MSP base so it would make sense that our new 175s will go there to fill that gap. Who knows though. The SLC crews might cry enough and make SGU give them a 175 base too. God forbid the SLC crews get downsized to what that base should actually be..

I would guess 7/900s to MSP but I have no idea. I'm curious where the recently announced Delta 175 SCs whatever end up.

Thats what I'm talking about too. I didn't think the 900 lite rumor had any truth until I heard about 175 SCs.. I would suspect 175s to the west coast and 900s to the Midwest.

900 lite rumor has to do more with AA scope I think.
