Will SWA be accepting resumes at the Ninety Nines conference in Philly next week? Trying to decided if it’s worth going to or not.

If you meet the requirements it will automatically send an invite for interview. I filled it out and 48hrs later got the email for interview. Same with a good friend, he filled it out and same story within 48hrs the interview email was sent. Try to check all the boxes. Captain, Jet PIC and I think these are the most important. Check Airmen and/or Examiner. If you go to SWA you're going to fly your ass off. Plus no upgrade. Have you seen the 737 cockpit? Why does it still take 2 hands to start the engine? LOL good luck...

So notifications of an interview happen after the window closes or immediately. I am prior military but i miss the mark on total time. Any chance they still consider me for an interview or will it be a firm no?

Just curious, how does it take you 2 hands to start the engine? My left hand is able to both turn the start switch AND left the cutoff lever...leaving my right hand free for other activities, like feeding my face with pistachios. Starting engines is so hard...

True. But if he is arguing about the (lack of) modernity of the 737 who can say he is wrong?

After you start you have to manually put the generators online..

You have to manually take the packs off of the APU and put them on the engine bleeds.

You have to manually turn on the nacelle anti ice... and the ice detector is a windshield wiper nut?!

There no EICAS, so if you get a master caution you have to go on an Easter egg hunt to locate the light on the overhead.

Sucker is an antique.

No argument there. Just think that 30 seconds of manual labor is made to sound so terrible.

Why did you apply? You obviously don’t want to work here.

I like antiques.
