The friend hasn't interviewed yet. Just curious in case he is successful, how long do people wait for classes nowadays? I've been on the property for several years, in case you're suggesting I'm the "friend". That's all, no impatience, just curiosity.

Recently, 8 weeks. Plus-minus 3 weeks depending on how quick the new hire chooses their class date and if they volunteer for earlier dates to fill spots that open up.

A friend of mine got the call yesterday. During his interview they told him to expect September class dates. They are running fewer classes July and August too I guess. But, yeah, it depends on what the people who got the call select and how fast they fill up. I would expect if the hiring picks up again in the fall like they predict the classes will be pretty quick. In my interview class the first dates available were about a month from date of interview. Some of the guys in my actual newhire class showed up less than a week from DB call. That was from earlier this spring/summer.

We also haven't gone past 2008 hires for upgrades. From 2008-2010 we didn't hire anybody. From 2010 to 2013 we hired a few hundred. If hiring/upgrades continue at the current pace and barring any unforeseen environmental issues (age 70, another 9/11, recession) upgrades will drop. At least by 2 yrs overnight once the 2008 hurdle is cleared.
