Default How will you spend your ExTO?

Just curious what those who are taking the ExTO plan to do with the time off?

I've talked to a couple of pilots who are going back to school, one who is going back to his old corporate job, and one who bought an RV and is going to homeschool his kids for a year as they explore the country.

All great ideas. What are your plans?

Single so pretty flexible. First plan is a winter ski road trip. A week in every resort that interests me. Starting in Montana and working south through Idaho, Wyoming, Utah and eventually Colorado. This is assuming ski resorts open next winter. Maybe buy a boat in the spring once I'm back in FL and learn to fish.

Working. 50% pay doesn’t work on 1 income.

Spending my time with my daughter who is 4. Hiking 14ers and hopefully a big backpacking trip or two.

Don't take this the wrong way, but why are you considering taking it then? If you think you'll be furloughed then stay in and collect guarantee till they say you can't. I think there are a lot of us dipping out who can afford to so those that can't don't have to.

Wish I could "like" this! Thank you to all of you that can afford it!

I'm impressed. Truly admirable choices.

If it were me it would be whisky and hookers ... Cheap ones at that.

Sorry, combine internet communication and a bottle of wine and the sarcasm I think you were trying to convey did not come through till a reread. Guess I thought since you posted on a thread asking what people who were taking it were doing you were and then looking for other employment.

I also assumed whiskey and women were a given and didn't even need to be mentioned.

Hey, how about some common decency? Don’t cheap out on the whisky.
