yeah I think we have some perpetual whiners on here.
no premium because the company overhired......waaaaah! Screw the 1221, they should have prepared!
Company fixes the manning situation, now there is too much premium......waaaaah! Screw the ExTOs, force them back early!

I'm not in the force the Extos back early crowd, but don't you think we're going to need those guys with 30-35 airplanes coming next year? Looking at OT awards now, we certainly can't absorb anymore planes without more bodies.

Well JAs are bad, to me. Right now that's where we are. So without those guys coming back, we can't cover the schedule with those new planes. I'm pretty sure we have planes still in storage as well. So your question is over simplistic.

When there was no premium, pilots were whining that the company over hired resulting in not enough flying available.
Then Covid hits and thankfully the VSPers and ExTOers voluntarily take pay cuts to save the company.
Now, here we are......premium flows like wine, everyone can make big money, and what do we get....
......Pilots whining about extra flying being available.

Yep. I would much rather risk an occasional JA and have lots of premium. I understand not wanting JAs as well, but my personal preference is that it is worth it. To each his own I guess.
