Average age of newhire, around 35, so average career 30 years. Two seats so 50% FO, 50% Cap. Early outs, higher vacay/sick times for senior pilots, LCA, 2% growth: count on 12 years. Want to be senior (and miserable)? AA average pilot age is probably around 57, and NB PIC is junior (for a reason) to WB FO.
if having 4stripes is the only thing you care about, don’t go to SWA. I didn’t, but that’s because they didn’t invite me. I’m happy at NK, and F9 is pretty much the same thing, but it’s not the big 4. How many people leave SWA for NK/G4/F9?
