It’s just numbers for new hires. But you my friend, are still gonna be on the hook for some fine BBQ.

Did you mean 2022 by chance?

Why do you want to upgrade? If it's to make money, looking at raw upgrade time is a mistake.

Average age of newhire, around 35, so average career 30 years. Two seats so 50% FO, 50% Cap. Early outs, higher vacay/sick times for senior pilots, LCA, 2% growth: count on 12 years. Want to be senior (and miserable)? AA average pilot age is probably around 57, and NB PIC is junior (for a reason) to WB FO.

if having 4stripes is the only thing you care about, don’t go to SWA. I didn’t, but that’s because they didn’t invite me. I’m happy at NK, and F9 is pretty much the same thing, but it’s not the big 4. How many people leave SWA for NK/G4/F9?

Honestly, and this isn't a knock on G4,f9 or NK, but I know of zero people who have gone from SWA to one of those. If they did, they never told anyone.
