LAX is still super small and not really growing. There is a steady revolving door towards the junior end of guys working their way to other bases. I think that will always be the case just because of the location, but don't expect it right out of class.
That being said, it's still extremely junior relative to the rest of the system. My seniority goes from 20 percent in my current base to single digits there.

Speaking of this, anyone know how to get to the attendee portal? Trying to find where to schedule 1 on 1’s if they are having any and figured this would be the place but can’t seem to find a link. Thinking it might be too early? 🤔

Friend of mine got the invite for the virtual a couple weeks ago. Kept checking the site for dates that would work and nothing populated. This week he got scheduled but it’s for a face to face. He said the virtual is dead…thank god.
Assuming the interview is now HR/logbook/some kind of CRM questions since the LOI is dead. Hopefully this speeds things up to get people into class sooner.

How does bidding work in reserve concerning days off, can you chose some of them? Are you guaranteed a block of days off in a row? I got a CJO but I do not have access to the pilot agreement with SWAPA so I can t get the information. Thanks

You bid your lines as normal including reserve if you are jr or sr and like it. Reserve blocks are usually either 3 or 4 days long. Generally at least 3 days off after each block sometimes 4 days off.

reserve lines vary, but they are all built to give you 15 days off per month (14 off in Feb) and you’ll have a minimum of 3 days off between raps. There will be some with the same start day each week and there will be some with cascading start days (3 on 3 off). AM or PM starts and all are on a 2 hour call-out. No long call. No field standby either. Premium pay rules applie (with a couple exceptions) so it’s very easy to make well above your original line value just by showing up.
