If you want to get one of the “adopted ones” to spit their coffee out, repeat after me….”glideslope captured, presetting missed approach altitude”.

This will be the rally call, also if they want some weirdo reserve coverage BS in those bases or something. Expect a freak show if this goes to a vote IMO.

I think I may have drifted a bit. I don't support satellite bases unless they greatly benefit the group as a whole. The bastardized way the FAs do them wouldn't work for us.

You probably say speed and sinking at 1000 feet. This is why that's dangerous.

Can't tell you how many times I heard "well you CHOOSE to commute" when I was a commuter griping about the lack of long call reserve or commutable trips. (I understand they could've also just been trying to get me to quit griping)
True. But we have several stations that are within driving distance of the crew domicile. So we're not commuters in the traditional sense, but we still drive past other SWA airports on our way to work. I think the subject should at least be explored like we are doing now with separate hotels...then we can make an educated decision to move forward or not.

Like someone else said, you just never know. The BNA rumors have been around for over 2 decades.
SAT ?

When did you hear that rumor?

pretty sure there are some ok (I say ok because of Delta’s positive spacing) proposals are being looked at in contract negotiations that would go a long way to making commuting less stressful.

I really don’t understand why we can’t set the missed approach altitude. One of the many silly Southwestisms.
