This is because the 737 and other Boeing planes come off the factory floor with the default setting to announce "minimums" over the loudspeaker when the plane gets to minimums. In a situation where you transition from an instrument approach to a visual approach, you want to turn that feature off so you don't get a distracting loudspeaker callout at 200 feet or wherever.

Of course, we have to "customize" the planes to fly it like a 200, so no V1, 500, minimums, or even altitude callouts here at Southwest because we are the biggest 737 operator in the world and we do it right, by god.
Well, didn't want assume I know better, but some of that seems to be not necessarily the best way...

Of ATL, BWI, MDW, DAL, DEN, and HOU, where is the seniority climb likely to be fastest?

Where have the most commutable trips been traditionally?

Thanks. Sorry if repeat question.

HOU, MDW, DEN, BWI, DAL, ATL is my lowest to highest relative seniority at the start of my 7th year.

Rumors say DEN is supposed to nearly double at some point, so it may be there.

Cant tell you about the commute as I drive to base.

I'm a mid seniority FO and I sit around the same in BWI, MDW, DEN, and HOU. DAL would make me more junior, and ATL even more junior.

That said, it's a moving target. When I started ATL took ten years to get to as an FO...now it's not to hard to get. And 15 years ago, DAL took awhile to get...again now it's junior. With the expansion planned at DEN, you'd think it will go more junior...

Relatively junior. Once new hires start flowing for a few months, it will go to new hires.
