Nor does having to check your pay ever trip due to the mistakes the company makes . It is what Is it , not a big surprise when the CEO calls the pilots plumbers.

Nothing wrong with being a plumber, as I am one myself laying a lot of pipe.

It blows.

[SARCASM]But it's cool cuz when I'm at parties and I mention that I'm a pilot, the conversation and music stop because everyone is so impressed. I have to peel the women clinging to my arms away when I want leave.[/SARCASM]

You guys slay me. You're such victims. If only you had some idea when you got hired/acquired by Southwestvaluetran that you were going to fly multiple legs a day in small cockpits, you would have just applied to United for their 747 direct entry captain position. You got bait and switched, I tell you!

Ok that’s pretty damn funny.

But in all seriousness, United had unfilled Captain vacancies on their last bid, so in theory, in todays hiring environment, one could go direct entry Captain if hired at United. Swa rates need to come up in a big way to stay remotely competitive!

Sheesh. What do you want us to say?

"Gosh, it sure is fun flying multiple legs per day the older I get."?

or

"Gosh E6bpilot, you're right! Ima gonna pick up and move over to United after I've been here for X years and start over at the bottom of the seniority list because the non-victim, empowered-individual thing to do if things don't perfectly suit me is to pick up and leave, making sure the door doesn't hit me on the a$$ on my way out."?

or

"Jeez! You certainly are right E6bpilot. We all should just quit our whinin' and complainin', put a smile on our faces and tell everyone everything is great even though I don't feel like it is. 'Sides, there are people who are much worse off in the world than we are, so until we're the worst off, we need to keep our mouths shut!"?

or

"Man, if I had Nostradamus-like powers of future-tellin’ like E6bilot, I’d have waited 7 or 8 years for airlines like United and Delta to start hiring in droves because that was definitely gonna happen.”?

You, E6bpilot are the paragon of picking’ urself up by yur bootstraps and rising above adversity. Please let me know when your autobiography is published so I can take notes and learn how to not be a victim. You should go on tour with Jordan Peterson and Jocko Willink.

I do not think many came here knowing the CEO Despises the pilot group and created that philosophy throughout headquarters. GK has hated the pilot group ever since he started at Southwest, he would bypass on social events with HK if he knew pilots where invited to the event .

So, you actually think unfilled CA vacancies are a good thing? There is a reason they did not get filled.
