It ,is a very strong word, I could go on a 15 minute rant about the word (it)

The talk on here is scary. This vote should be an easy yes. The average airline strike lasts 4 days. The chances of it getting that far are extremely unlikely. If it ever does go that far, there will be a Strike Vote. That’s the no **** vote where things get real fast. The SAV is more for signaling and had a 96 percent participation rate at Delta with 99 percent of the votes as yes. This is just a step in the process. Don’t read more into it than there is. Vote yes, don’t worry about it, and let your union use the leverage to keep moving the process along. Delta’s CEO was dumb enough to go on national tv and say our vote was meaningless. That got the mediator to lean on him and the company which lead to Delta’s current TA.

Good luck to you guys.

Makes sense. I also don’t see it getting that far, but I can’t comprehend why the contract isn’t on the table yet so wthdik. If I go with SW I’ll just follow the process.

The contract is not on the table yet because the pilot group continues to do a “good job” and the operation continues to run smoothly. When it doesn’t it’s not because of the pilots.

Until the “Warrior Spirit” runs itself dry or the RLA process plays itself out, we’re not getting a contract (much less a good one) just out of the goodness of the company’s heart.

The contract isn’t on the table yet because the more cost-effective solution for the company right now is to delay. Until it becomes more cost effective to put a contract on the table, they will continue delaying. It’s as simple as that.

If the company was convinced delaying was going to end up costing them more in the long run than offering us the airline industry’s leading contract, we’d have a contract to vote on. But they’re not convinced of that yet because they remain confident that that they can save money via delaying.

When they feel like they must, they will offer us another lagging narrow body contract. Given the history around here, there’s a good chance it will pass because “flexibility,” “affordability,” “cohearts,” luv,” “culture,” and all the other buzzwords people here accept as a form of compensation in lieu of cash, benefits, and solid work rules.

You're not wrong... I've been consistently astonished by the number of CA's I've flown with who *need* over $20k of take-home pay monthly just to survive. The fiscal incompetence required to get there is astonishing, yet here we are.

I have flown with maybe 2 CAs in the last 3 years who "fly their line", not doing much with open time or trading. 2. Out of hundreds, just 2. Yes they're leaving thousands on the table by not fiddling with their schedule, but seriously... Just 2? Amazing.

And making an intentional effort to make pilots look like immature crude idiots when these forum messages are introduced in front of lawyers, negotiators, and the public. Please ignore this account.

What does this have to do with anything? We’re here to make money, right? You’re concerned that pilots who want to make money might somehow prevent you from getting a contract where you can get more money??
