Closest Ive ever had was this month. 5 days on the schedule.

Had a 3 day eliminated due to month to month overlap, which they pulled 2/3 days. So I had 2 days from a previous month on the 1 and 2. I could have ELITTED that trip back into the previous month and left a nice empty spot there but I wanted the overnight.

Had vacation mid month, that eliminated 2 more 3 day trips. And then had a single 3 day trip left at the end of the month.

So if I was really into it, I could try and ELITT that 3 day into a 2 day or a 1 day. But I didn't feel like totally spending my month on ELITT so I've just kind of left it alone.

But to answer your question, In theory it is possible to drop to zero through Giveaway and company corrections and ELITT, but in reality no.

It all depends on manning. Lean manning plenty of open time equals not a chance to go to zero. High manning with green bars many months and a much higher possibility of getting close to zero.

I am in a similar boat to OP. I interview with SWA next week. I also have an interview with UA end of May. How far out are classes scheduled? I heard 4-5 weeks some time ago. I have a vacation booked mid to late May as well, and hoping to find a way to stretch the time so I can also do the UA interview before making a decision

You just need to start class within 90 days of accepting CJO.

SWA lets you push your class date back a couple times. Or at least has been.

It will look good on your résumé having SWA on it. It will be a guaranteed job offer at UAL .

Default SLC to Vegas or LA

Can anyone at SWA comment on commuting? I'm in SLC and was considering coming to SWA and commuting to Vegas or LA. How miserable is it for a new FO commuting? Any help is appreciated.

Depends on frequency of flights and how long you'll be on RSV. Commuting to RSV is a special hell I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Commuting to a line is better, but still not awesome.

Driving to work completely changes the job.

6 SWA non-stops from SLC-LAS
1 SWA non-stop from SLC-LAX
