https://www.deviantart.com/latilover...-cat-367221661 I still am sticking with SWA waits for HAL/AAG to go through and then announces a merger with the combined Airline. This is something that I think AW,BJ, and GK could all agree on up at the puzzle palace and seems like the most likely next target. It would hard to get them on board and maybe harder to do a hostile. Previous mergers, including one that didn't happen (B6 + VX) all revolve around this core principle. Something to be aware of if you're contemplating an AS merger. Unless the new entity is based in SEA and named "Alaska Southwest Airlines". |

Huge airbus order with all variants available to to get. Also don’t forget they will be cheap. The only thing Hawaiin/alaska gets them is widebodies and this company doesn’t want to touch it with a 10 foot pole. For now….. |

Agree that F9 makes the most sense but I heard it fell through because they couldn’t rip the A/Ts out and sell them on eBay.

It fell through because GK gave SWAPA/FAPA 48 hours to hammer out an SLI. Frontier allegedly wanted all Captains seats on the Busses and a 10 year fence around Denver. SWAPA said no go and GK said fine and dropped out of the bidding process after getting a look at the books. At the time we were told that we would be buying 1 for 1 -700 replacements for all of Frontier's Airbii and that Boeing would remarket the Frontier fleet to foreign Airlines. Obviously none of this ever happened and I don't see anything that's markedly changed from Southwest's perspective to make them go after Frontier yet again. Who knows though, I didn't see the AirTran deal coming either.

Furthermore.......we/the Kompany need a -700/A319/A220-300 size jet to replace the 400 -700s that are in the fleet. F9 only has A320 and A321 jets in the fleet and on order. Therefore it won't help our problem should the MAX7 continue to be a complete fiasco as it has been the last few years. SWA has continually stated that a 150 seat sized jet needs to be part of our fleet.
