In the earnings call they said there should be no more surprises for -7 certification and their example "what-if" used an early 2026 date and entry into service by the end of 2026. They didn't give any expected date or predication, but nobody mentioned 2027 for -7 during the earnings call.

Other than schoolhouse rumors, it's all conjecture.
Even Southwest has completely taken the Max 7 out of its medium term planning. It isn't in any existing schedule and even long term plans don't have it delivered until 2027, which I am sure can easily get pushed right.
It's not even a joke anymore, it's just sad. When the nations only large aircraft manufacturer can't get a variant of an existing airliner certified by its own regulatory authority allegedly for an issue that exists in planes still being delivered, the entire system is beyond broken.

Exactly. A buddy who works at Boeing says their side has done everything they can and the ball has been in the FAA's court for well over a year. At least that's what they're being told in his group, which isn't related to the MAX.

This article came out yesterday, and BoJo and Co said they're now expecting mid 2026 on the earnings call yesterday.
