What do you mean "Time out"?

0 MAXs are getting retired, 60+ are supposedly coming new from Boeing this year, with a steady stream of 700s and 800s being sold and retired.

Latest rumor I heard on the airframes that have already been built is that we'll take them then sell them on the open market. Now who would actually buy them I have no clue, 20-30 less seats to only go 400 more miles, not sure there's an appetite for it other than us.

was told today in ground school that those -7s with have “the lowest cost per ASM of the entire fleet”…so we’re getting them for a steal,

Might be referring to this potential issue with the Leap motors on our oldest Max8s.

Still need a fix for LRD and maybe another extension on the EICAS requirement?

That rumor is dumb. The 7 is coming mainly because we have a bunch of orders, there are already existing airframes and fuselages, and mainly because the 10 is tied to its certification and that is in high demand.

We will take them and retire the 700s (finally)and run them on thinner routes just like we do now.

The 700 is a CASM suck right now and it's rare to fly one 3 legs without calling mx out.

LRD is suppose to be fixed this year with an EEC software update. I don’t think there is any attempt to adopt EICAS.

MAX-7 is the platform for the next gen BBJ. Boeing won't abandon that money maker and **** off the rich folk.

However - I wouldn't put it past SWA to cut down their order book.

How is Boeing going to get SWA to agree to this? Pretty sure those contracts are going to have penalties built in for not performing. Convert the -7s to 787s for the same price? If buy that.
