MAX7

SWAPA sent out an email yesterday and deep in it, they said that Boeing had the fix for the cowl anti-ice flight tested and the FAA is happy with it.
All paperwork for it is now in the hands of the FAA so ultimately up to them to give the green light. Deliveries by Q4 is that the email said.
Deliveries of new cowls or MAX 7s is not specified, but seeing that the cowl was the final hangup on the 7, I think we could FINALLY see it certified really soon!

Had a chatty LCO in the jump recently. Said there's a chance Boeing could walk away from the -7 entirely, abandon the project. There's a healthy order book for the -8,-9, and -10. Meanwhile Swa is the only substantial customer for the -7 even WestJet converted their orders away from the -7

Only difference between a -7 and -8 is a section of fuselage. Cockpit, wings, tail, engines…all identical.
