Good advice. Done.

Oh man...what a beautiful thing.

Ha Ha. Totally agree. Executive's will try and get the most just like pilots. Go to business school and get that job, or climb the corporate ladder and get it that way. I don't GAS what they make. Sounds like they are smarter than any pilot for going that route.

There are opportunities for pilots to join their ranks. Ever wonder why very few pilots decide to go that route? I don't. We have the best effort/$ ratio in the company along with the amazing and highly underrated benefit of putting work in a bag in our closet and letting it sit there for a month or longer if we choose.
Ask any of your friends making 300k plus a year if they can do that. You may have to wait a minute because they are probably on a phone call or zoom.

And they have run our profit margins down into low single digits.

I can maybe understand the simps if we were firing on all cylinders, gaining market share, expanding, and raking in our historic high profits.... but that isn't the case.

They did. They were just the c- students. There’s not enough margin to encourage the really slick biz school grads to throw their fortune in with any airline, and there’s not enough opportunity for financial trickery to pull the real geniuses into the gig. Why come here and skim a million or two off the top when you could go to state street or blackrock or vanguard and skim 10 million a year?

We aren’t recruiting the best and brightest for executives. We know it and they know it, which is why they are even more entrenched. They’re not the smartest and it scares them which is why they are even less likely to push boundaries or accept help from outside their professional bubble.

GK graduated with 4 year degree in accounting. As did MVdV not sure about the current clown. With his record probably just an associates degree.

Well with all the SWAPA guys who have gone across to take their big job at GO, why haven't any of them become CEO, or COO. After all you guys claim they are the smartest people in the room over the years. I wonder who in the lastest group it will be? I got my guess.

We get paid in direct proportion to what we produce and are taxed like the rest of the "poor bastards" club that makes enough to be considered wealthy by most standards but not enough to avoid taxes like the truly wealthy.
It is what it is. Change it or accept it. We aren't them. They aren't us. They look down on us. It's fine. Trust me. It really doesn't matter.
My goal, as always, is to extract the maximum amount of money out of this place for the least amount of effort. I want to retire with a nice cushion to do what I want to do and to help my kids out while they are young and need the help. Other than that, I am going to live inside the box that I have made for myself and not worry about other people. I am not going to let someone else's situation dictate my happiness. I wouldn't trade with them. I stopped climbing the ladder the day I left my last job and I feel so free because of it.
Because they are entitled, jealous babies. That's why.
Mama and dada always kissed their rears. They are used to it and when this doesn't happen, they pout.
They CHOSE to be pilots, yet they want exec's comp.
