This. I flew with a ckam recently that does a lot of stuff up in Seattle for us. He said the same and we would most likely refuse the 30+ built due to the gremlins contained within.

Wouldn’t it be nice to get that 220 or the 190E2?! Seems like we could install a proper premium product (first class) in the -8’s and save some weight and run those like a real airline, and use the smaller jets on the Texas 2 step or cali shuffle?!

what do I know? I just work with toilets…

Would make sense but with global economies contracting….I’d guess we’d take them for a steal and make Boeing get them all back up to current standards.

Doubt it. Gonna need software updates, the anti-ice cowl fix, etc. Also who knows if they put them in long term storage taped up or just let them sit in the parking lot as a bird nest.

With respect to upgrades, according to MySeniority:

- 982 FO's have bypassed.
- The junior end of 982 FO's couldn't hold captain towards the end as more senior bypassers took upgrade slots as the music started winding down.
- It seems that historically, we've had roughly 1,000-1,100 FO's bypassing making roughly 60-61% master seniority a threshold to upgrade.

So... will the juniormost captain on the seniority list is gonna remain the juniormost captain next year or wil people will still be bypassing and by what margin?

Ooof, that really sucks if true. Guess my dream of coming to SWA is probably dead. Thank you for sharing.
