Agreed. Unless you have some wild reason for wanting WN only, best bet would be to try and work on other options.

This place is going to stagnate until the -7 is released. Once you start hearing news on that front I would expect hiring to start again although taking some time to ramp up.

Does anyone know how many Max 7's are actually already built for WN? I know there were more than a few built and painted prior to them stopping production and focusing on the Max 8, but I have never seen an actual number. I assume it would make a big difference in the hiring ramp up if they're gonna deliver 30 of them vs 3 of them on day 1.

several dozen I believe. But they’ll need Mx to bring them back up to speed since they’ve been sitting idle for years.

Yes. Pilot group is overmanned. Fleet count tending down for 2025 due to Boeing. Some retirements but D225 new hires to replace them.

All that = no hiring

I could see that being revised for maybe Q3 or 4, but that's optimistic.

I hope so! I may be scarred by previous dealings with Boeing.

Heard this as well at recurrent. Apparently parts have been scavenged off several of them as well.
