And of course he’s got 1600 TFP in his sick bank.

LK has been avoiding flying the line like the plague apparently ever since he got hired by pursuing any path to any desk as long as it's not a cockpit... I recall him even getting called on it a couple years ago in one of those townhalls and he said he would fly more. Still less than 100 hours in the last 3 years. Inspiring, isn't it?

He owns it. What a great leader. Pathetic!

He is an office drone just like everybody else who seeks positions that lead to full time HQ office work. I am not upset with him nor should anyone else be. At least he had the juevos to send an email owning up to his true feelings. I personally think that was an huge mistake on his part, but at least we all know where we stand in this relationship.
Its funny, every time one of the base chiefs or training heads gets elevated into the Vatican leadership, there is normally a bunch of guys with glowing stories about how they hooked them up or what great dudes they are. They all turn out to be a huge disappointment. Why would anyone leave the best job in the company to go do any of that? It's mind blowing.

No you’re wrong. AA, United and Delta economy seats have less room than SWA. Spirit seats are really thin with no padding and they are pre reclined that’s why it seems like there’s as much room as the thick delta/AA seats.

This whole new plan is a pretty big fail. Hope they wipe the BOD and come up with a new one, maybe one with real business seats or something.

Negative. Leg room is measured to the back of the seat in front of you. The width of the seat is irrelevant. AA/UA's leg room is closer to SWA then it is at Spirit and Frontier. Me thinks you never ridden in the back of a ULCC.

I am a 6 foot average weight American male, and the UA and AA 737 and 320 standard economy seats are about the same as ULCC seats to me, legroom-wise. I think those are some of the worst seats in the industry. The older the plane, the better it is. The United max interiors are downright insulting for economy pax, but in this day of basic economy, that's probably who sits in them the most, so I guess it makes sense.

SWA seat comfort and legroom is perfectly average throughout the cabin, which is the goal. The Recaro seats that they put in the 800 fleet are so worn down that they are getting pretty uncomfortable. The newer max seats are pretty good, but also pretty new and that's probably why. It's the same hammock design as the Recaro 800s with no hard seat pan, but the padding isn't worn down by a decade of flying Texans around the country. I have no complaints about the older evolve seating (700s and old 800s) other than it is getting pretty tired and a little gross. I think those seats are comfy. I wish we could go back to the old old seats with the plush padding in the 137 seat airplanes, but those days are long gone. Now the goal is to squeeze every penny out of the cabin that they can without ****ing too many people off.

I honestly think the new plan isn't terrible, but could be better. I wish they had gone with a slightly upgraded product instead of the same seats with more legroom, but baby steps, I guess. I think they are going to get a lot of revenue out of them regardless.

I'm pretty sure the current seat in the MAX8's/-800's aren't Recaro. I'm pretty sure they're BE Aerospace or something. The new Recaros are supposed to be much more comfortable than the current seats.
