You’re right. They had employee numbers, not seniority numbers.

My friend was 2 weeks from starting and they moved him back to the first April class in order to get 225 guys in. They cancelled the class they bumped him to and just told him “no thanks” after stringing him along for 20 mos. Completely unsat.

IDGAF what people like you think. If someone is good enough to get the nod in ‘23, it does not matter what the market looks like in ‘26. You honor your commitment unless they can no longer pass a background check or had multiple failures since the last face to face. Otherwise, every 225 hire is no longer qualified as they don’t meet current competitive mins.

I love this. We got one post saying I’m on the interview team, another one saying I have a blocked board and another saying I have a beard. Never had one before in my life.

You guys are awfully mad that I’m just stating the facts. Yes, it sucks and the company isn’t cool for doing that. Yes, it’s conditional, no class wasn’t starting next week and no, they never got a seniority number. Triggered much?

Were people really waiting around for 2 years instead of getting on with a legacy? That seems really really foolish to me. People get so tribal about where they think they want to work, and in doing so make some really odd decisions.

Agreed about the last part completely but let’s not forget that the Legacies haven’t been hiring much either during the last two years.

The bottom line that it’s a really $h__ty move on the company’s part.
