-fun loving attitude
-servants heart
-warrior spirit
if your stories don’t tell the right story, then it doesn’t matter what kind of flight time you have.

Any interviewees looking at this thread for insight into hiring hints... here is one that is rarely talked about. Believe it or not, this is one of the least militant pilot groups in existence. Management here is looking for yes men. When they say, "hire for attitude, train for ability" what they mean is they want the kool-aid to flow in your veins.
I'm not saying that's all who works here or everyone who starts out that way, stays that way. We obviously have a better contract than ever before. And "we" fought reasonably hard for it. The relationship with management has gotten very tense over the last few contracts with more and more of us opeing our eyes to reality.
So when you're sitting across the table from the interviewer yucking it up, remember that they're looking for a certain spark. If you seem even remotely too "militant" in what you want out of an airline job, even if the interview feels like it is going great, you will get a check mark beside your name and a TBNT email. It's subtle, but it's relevant if you want to make it through the process.

We even have reps and committee chairs that try to manage expectations or tell us to vote yes on garbage. Are you an interviewer? In HR?
Compared to other major and legacy carriers, we collectively have more kool-aid drinkers than they do. It's why we gave away the 800 for free. It's why we didn't file for mediation right away last time in order to start the timeline on the only leverage we could ever have. A credible threat of a strike. Which is how management was able to drag us out for years in the last 2 negotiations.
Why was all of that possible? A pilot group that is "just happy to be here" and "awe shucks, I'd do this job for free." If you don't see it, maybe there is a reason?
