Got the TBNT email on the 10th, I interviewed on the 4th. No references called. Oh well🤘🏻

If you’re halfway serious about working here (or any other carrier) I would suggest you do everything in your power to not let your thoughts/attitude from your previous posts bleed through during your interview.

Sorry to hear that, but like many have said before me, none of us really know the reasons why. Thankfully, the market remains strong on the pilot side, and the other major airlines are actively hiring pilots. We work in an extraordinary industry, especially on the pilot side. I have a long-time friend who interned at FedEx, worked on their ramp, went to flight school, and held various roles, including regional FO, regional CA, and regional CKA, all with the dream of flying for FedEx. About six years ago, his dream came true, and he had been flying heavies for them ever since. I just learned he left for UA this week. I say all of this to emphasize that even those with the best plans often find themselves caught up in market forces and trends beyond their control. There was a time when nobody left FedEx; it was the crème de la crème of flying. Now he is giving up six years to start all over at the bottom because FedEx has become quite challenging for those hired in the last decade.Originally Posted by salukipilot

Hang in there and keep the apps out. If WN is the place you really want to be, give it another shot next year; otherwise, keep the pressure up at other majors, and I am confident you will get hired and have a great career.

Yesterday someone from the hiring team said that he expects it to open again before the end of the year. If not then in January after they get through the holidays. Originally Posted by Biglou457

I posted in the class dates thread that the company has interviewed 518 with 499 to go. The 499 list of names is published internally and accessible via the iPad as of Nov 10. If you’re a SWA pilot, you can write an internal rec if you have a buddy on the list.

Edit - nevermind I found the list, they tucked it into comply365 instead of on the pilot hiring swalife page where it used to be posted.Originally Posted by at6d

that would explain why I couldn’t find it on swalife. Why mention where it is when they tell us about interviews???Originally Posted by flensr
