Congratulations! We've also had quite a few clients without the type. There's plenty of hope and good fortune to go around...we hope

Just out of curiosity…does anyone know how important LOR's are in getting the job at SWA? I know a few guys that have went over from my unit years ago but have somewhat lost touch. I'm not sure if it's worth me doing the digging to try and contact them or I should be ok?

Let me know…is it a "deal breaker?"

LOR don't make a difference until you get an interview. Basically they won't get you an interview, but once you do they will help out. My suggestion would be to get in touch with your buddies and get that lined up. That will just be one less thing you will have to worry about when you get an interview.

I have the interview already. Was wondering how much weight they carried at the interview...

When I interviewed they did not ask me once about my LOR other than to have me put them in my pile of paperwork to be collected. I believe they are referenced during the DB and possibly by the interview team when they are writing up their recommendation for the DB. You just need to have at least 3 from people who have actually flown with you, and all of my people were actually contacted during the review process.

Is there an "average" time between application and interview invite?
