How much you make will really depend on where you live and how hard you want to work. On reserve, you make 90 tfp per month at $50.17 and any open time you pick up above that pays second year pay of $84.65. Reserve lines are 90 tfp min and hard lines are anywhere from 85 to 110 tfp. Average pilot works about 105 top a month. You should be able to make ~$65k first year pretty easily and if you live in base and want to work a lot, $90k or more would be possible.
Just to pile on this post and add another layer of perspective coming from someone sitting reserve a while due to getting on board in the last few classes before the music stopped last year. I've been averaging about 110-125 TFP for the last 5 months (excluding February) as a commuter on reserve and not picking up ANYTHING. extra. The pain of first year pay hasn't been much of an issue for me so much as the sting of sitting reserve for a prolonged period of time. Fortunately with projected hiring, most hired won't have to sit reserve too long and endure the inflexibility of schedule that goes along with it.

I went to apply on the SWA web site and it asked me if I wanted to use my LinkedIn profile to help fill in the application. I clicked "yes" and also uploaded my resume. I figured "why not?" because my LinkedIn profile is pretty good. One thing that really struck me, though, was how little info the application asked for, especially compared to AirlineApps. Is this normal, or did I unknowingly skip a bunch of questions when I tied it to my LinkedIn profile? I'd sure hate to have missed something that might be pilot-related. Anyone else go the same route as I did?

My references were called. I'll wait a little more before I email HR. One of my friends is looking into it right now.

You also created a profile on Pilot Credentials right? That's where they ask you for all of your detailed flight time, work history, schools, addresses, and stuff like that.
