Anybody have any info on the fluctuation in interview to class date? I don't have a type; maybe that's why I waited longer? Seems strange

Nowadays the classes are staying all over the place. They seem to use the Doubletree more for recurrent and CKA hotels.

I, for one, take great pride in what we all do as professionals and like to dress the part, whether I'm operating the aircraft, asking for a ride in the j/s, or flying as a non-rev. Maybe it's the conservative in me talking, cause I'm by no means an old guy.

Just my 2 cents. Carry on fellas. I'm out!
This! I feel strange sitting in the back in jeans, let alone the flight deck.

The hiring folks aren't very forthcoming with information on exactly how they choose pilots for each class. I don't think anyone outside of them and the chief pilots really know if they use first in first out for the new hires or if they pick and choose some other way. Not having the type shouldn't delay you any more than anyone else.

This is strictly rumor but I have heard they are only doing so many non typed pilots per class.

Typed pilots take a different checkride than non-typed. They pair typed pilots together and non-typed together. Maybe that's at least part of the reason for the delay.

Does anyone know how long new hire training is? I have heard 6-8 weeks although thinking closer to 8 but not sure if this includes IOE. Just curious on how it runs.

48 calendar days for my group from day one to LOE.

Weekends off, and a few days off between ground school and sim. No days off during sim.
