I don't think the shareholders have much to complain about these days:

Pretty much every airline has a positive graph over that time frame. It will get interesting once the shuffling is complete and the "capacity dicipline" has been played out and the dramatically stronger mega legacies start fighting back against the endless growth mode young bucks again, particularly the first 2 to attempt to go long haul.

Lol...but not really funny. I think part of the rationalization for stapling much of the AirTran list was that they didn't bring much to the table compared the large SW network. Well, they did...and what they brought is critical, and in some ways, more valuable to SWA succeeding in the future marketplace. Why would they endeavor on a culturally risky venture otherwise?

Many folks outside of this merger have the opinion that SWA didn't treat AT pilots equitably.

There may be a reason for that...

Were those:

The pilots that had apps at swa that didn't get hired?

The AAI pilots that left AAI to go to SWA?

The AAI pilots that had APPS at SWA that didn't get hired?

The SWA Pilots that left SWA to go to AAI?

It's all too confusing to me.

Pretty much every corporation in general has that graph. The market is humping. People are jumping in and will continue to jump in until..

Can only speak for me...the answer to your 4 questions is no to each.
Fairness is a subjective term, of course. But at some point, obviousness takes over and you can't help but form an opinion based on the facts presented thus far.
