Judging by the vast amount of JAs recently apparently not.

Thanks

I sat reserve pretty much my whole first year here (bad timing as the hiring stopped pretty soon after I was hired). In that year, without picking up anything extra, 115-120 was pretty standard for me with a high month of 136 tfp thrown in there. I'd have to pull up my old W2 but I'm pretty sure I was around 90k including per diem not to include PS or 401K contributions and that was with the old rates. Making over 100k your first year here should be pretty easy with the new pay rates. YMMV

You don't get profit sharing until you've been here a calendar yr. so someone hired now wouldn't see a profit sharing check till 2019. Kinda sucks.
Also with the pay per day reserve it'll be a lot easier to go over 100tfp each month without picking anything up. I'd say 110 average for the yr even on reserve without picking up cause you'll have some high paying months in the summer.
And the B fund should help you bring home more money not having to put in to get company match. That will be another 10% in my pocket if I choose.
I'd say 90k would be very doable.

Beats me...on RSV in the summer I'd go 5-6 days a month not used. Got friends on rsv over holidays who had entire 4 day blocks untouched while people getting JA'd left and right. Guess it depends on your base.

There should never be a JA while there are still reserves available. That's the whole point of reserves!

This place can be so frustrating at times.

I've been on reserve every holiday this yr and was never used. Even when buddies were getting JAd. Being a commuter it's frustrating when they use premium time guys first and JA and don't use reserves. Sitting in a crash pad over the holidays is a little depressing

I get leaving some rsv's for last minute call off's, etc but you should never JA a line holder when you've got a RSV available. I get sometimes a RSV won't be legal due to sitting all day but still....

During training, you will net $2300-$2400 per check, depending on elections. It will only go up from there.

Sounds like reserve can be a good deal.
