The scariest thing about a potential PBS is it's been 2.5 years and we can't agree on sick time accrual, anyone want to take a guess how long negotiations will take for PBS?

Not defending the company in any way shape or form... but we've been negotiating sick time accrual for the last 2.5 years? As far as I know we only began negotiations on that section during our sessions last week. Is the company dragging their feet? Probably. But I can't see a single section taking years to complete. Not during mediation anyways.

Sorry, I didn't mean to say it took 2.5 years for that one item, just we've been negotiating for that long and still don't have what I would consider simple things hammered down. I understand what you mean though.

PBS is a concession, are we in a concessionary negotiating environment?

I say NO WAY to PBS.

No give backs. If they wanted give backs on our work rules, they should have played nicely from Day 1.

We have seen zero respect from NK corporate towards our pilot group, it's time we vote for a strike.

Full Retro or shut it down.

I agree completely. Any contract with PBS is dead on arrival.

You are totally correct. But do you think our management is in that same line of thinking? Their egos dwarf their intellect by a large margin. They are too dumb to realize they are too dumb to seamlessly implement a working PBS system.

The company's strategy is to drag negotiations until we become increasingly frustrated and give up our contract, and QOL, for "industry standard" pay.
The point made about operating cost was spot on.
Work rules NEVER come back, however pay fluctuates.
They will eventually come crying to us about concessions.
The QOL that was given away, kiss it goodbye FOREVER.
You trust Spirit management with PBS?
Forget about pilot CONTROLLED parameters, after every violation, they will tell you to grieve it...
Just look at the increase of relief lines.
I too demand equitable pay, just NOT at any cost.
How about, profit sharing, disability, retirement, block or better, improved rigs, long call reserve, red eye override, decent travel benefits, DH on business class, etc.
Are we negotiating any of the above?
A huge thanks to the Negotiating Committee for all their hard work.
Please do not vote for a concessionary contract.
We gave up enough for the iPads already...
