Contract Negotiations room

I certainly agree that activity like trolling shouldn't be tolerated but seriously what is the beef with profanity? I would agree that there is a time and place where it is inappropriate such as in a job interview or a meeting with a superior. And while most people wouldn't use profanity with a different level co-worker most do with a peer. Many executives will use it with each other but not a subordinate. We don't speak to FAs or agents with profanity but when the cockpit door is shut we proceed to swear like sailors to each other.
This forum is comprised largely of peers and we are all big boys and girls. And while the moderators certainly have the right to censor their forum with their rules, imo you need to loosen the grip a little. This isn't church. My guess like most things you have to follow the money. I'd have to assume you have some advertiser(s) that don't want the profanity. We can understand that so just say so if that's the reason. Otherwise you need to loosen the grip on the reigns and let the conversation mirror the cockpit.

You feel comfortable arguing on the flight deck so much that it escalates to name calling? Not sure that's good CRM.

These management goons are going to hold up our negotiations for years, while they make demands for concessions on every item in the current CBA that benefits the pilots.
Every FO needs to conduct a thorough walk around to find any discrepancies. We are directed and obligated to do so by FAR and the company.
Captains need to taxi S.A.F.E. (Slow As Fudge, Every time.) Stop driving like it's the Daytona 500. That would be against guidelines found in the AIM.

I am already at this point, and we haven't even cracked the nut on monetary items.

I agree with this 100%

Not what I meant. I've been "warned" via PM in the past for using profanity not calling someone a profane name. And I don't argue on the flight deck, I discuss.

It is still our procedure to have one engine running until ground power is hooked up. That has not changed. So be it if you have to use all that gas with 2 or 3 spinning because of fire detection. Some rampers look confused that the engine is still on, is everyone else shutting down early or what?

Procedure is:
Eng 2 is shut down as soon as APU is AVAIL, to provide for secondary/redundant fire protection.
At the gate, ENG 1 is shut down when GPU is hooked up OR APU is up providing power.
Perhaps I just misunderstood what you were saying, but we do not keep #1 and the APU up until the GPU is attached.
