In ops and everything forward of the flight deck door, I have nothing but respect for the Spirit team. In the main cabin, well ... you get what you pay for.

As an outsider who's had quite a few colleagues cycle through Spirit, I have never expected you all to get compensation to the level that would be on par with industry standard. But you deserve way more. Keep up the good fight!
Out of curiosity, why would you expect us to be paid less than industry standard?

I'd like to know as well actually. Intrigued mainly. Hope to see him on our picket line.

I would guess that one would assume the cashier at Walmart probably doesn't make as much as the cashier at Macy's even though the machine they operate is the same. Just a guess

I work at ORD DFW LAX LGA with the same cash register as those being compensated twice as much as me. My cash register has a different paint job and generates a LOT more profit per seat mile as well.

Comparing professionals to cashiers is apples to tampons.

Don't fortget that it's not management that pays the bills it's our customers. They stop buying tickets and it won't matter what a contract says.

Recently dock workers at a West Coast port went on strike, after a week the largest customer, Hanjin, pulled their shipping from the port and moved it to a port with more stable labor. That customer comprised 70% of all shipping at the dock. It immediately ended the strike because their were no longer any jobs to strike for and all the workers were layed off.

Personally while I am out on the line I will continue to provide the best customer service I can. I am not going to lower my personal standards of a professional pilot.

So, you one of the guys that carries write ups until you get to a Mx base so you don't inconvenience the customer?

Sorry to bring it up but a lot of those pay scales are outdated and in fact much higher.

Allegiant CA pay is now around $8-9/hr higher than that chart.

And a few months later Hanjin went bankrupt. Not chapter 11, they dissolved, kaput. So the longshoreman would have lost out either way in Portland.

I think delta and American have changed since as well. We should get a fresh and new comparison soon.

If anyone doesn't have the 86 page United contract comparison guide they put out a few weeks ago I suggest you get a copy and enlighten yourself and anyone you come in contact with.
