Definitely a trap.

This place got weird. I never really thought that management would waste their time here but these are obviously not pilots posting. Don't respond.

FlyingOkra, thanks for your post. Yes, I didn't understand the different in the bidding systems

So my understanding now is that Spirit runs a Paper Line Bidding system that, when pilots are thinly staffed and poorly paid, can readily lead to significant open time that is hard, if not impossible, to fill. As a result of this set-up and the schedule increase NK Bumble Bee noted for May 25th, is it reasonable to expect another wave of cancellations coming at the end of this month or start of June? Or is it more likely that more proactive management, coupled with the TRO and encouragement from the union, will prevent another wave of cancellations?

Sorry dude but quit fishing. You ask questions like a clueless reporter would so it's easy to determine that you're not in this business.

Interns? Business students? Actual management? Third party? Who are these people? Amateur hour.

Anyone who is a pilot here, and anyone in management who knows what < and > means knows what's going to happen.

Guys who join the forum yesterday and say things like (*Read this in the derpiest voice you can*) "My understanding is that Spirit runs a paper line bidding...?"

1) Read the room

2) The room says "Get lost."

It's the only card they have left to play. The public doesn't give a **** about excuses anymore and if they want to blame us.. well fix the problem . Our management team are used car salesmen in this industry.. not the best of the best

I jumpseat on you guys a lot - thanks for all of the rides.

Forget about all of this - update resumes and hustle for a job at one of the big 4. Better pay, work rules, management, treatment. Over the next few years, LCCs and ULCCs are going to get gutted of pilots, just as the regionals have. You will be far, far better off in the long run bailing earlier rather than later.

No reason to stay for quick upgrade either. Pilot at Delta just awarded 88 captain in ATL at 4months of service.
