When we do go on strike, do not, i repeat do not allow the ALPA to order you back to work without first seeing and voting on the TA first. The ALPA screwed us royally in 2010 by accepting the TA and ordering us back to work. That sealed the deal. Also, do not accept The Alpa calling you stupid for questioning the TA. Be prepared, the ALPA is not your friend. They do not care about you. Do not let them bully you......Their only goal is to spend the least amount of money on NKS ALPA

I think some very important lessons were learned last time around. No one would go back this time without voting on a TA first.

Yeah, it doesn't work like that raisin man. That's what your elected reps are for.

It happened last time just like that, unfortunately. You don't go on strike and then come back without a vote. Spirit did.

So you're saying that once the items in dispute are resolved and you have a new TA the entire membership votes whether or not to end the strike and return to work, including the return to work agreement? So you stay on strike until the vote is complete?? No wonder you guys are so screwed up and have taken so long to get a TA. Management wet dream!

Some here are in dire need of education of the RLA Section 6 process and also ALPA bylaws.

SPA MEC policy manual as well I suspect.

Sour....... in spite of your lack of basic understanding of your union and how it works there are 100s of great men and women trying to get you a contract. If ALPA isn't the BEST option you have to achieve this goal - please enlighten us on how SPA pilots can get across the finish line with an Industry Standard or better contract.

The more unified your pilot group is the faster and more successful the process goes (although painfully slow by design).

And YES I am an ALPA man.......so are you unless you are another MGT troll.

So honest question:

You're out on strike and the NC says we have a TA and MEC says let's go back to work. We go back to work and see that said TA is not ratifiable. We vote down said TA and now what? We aren't on strike anymore. Where's the leverage? There is some consensus that contract 2010 which pass with 74% in favor may not have passed had the group not returned without voting. It's highly likely that at least 24% voted in favor of the TA because they didn't know what would happen if they voted no.

If you're on strike it's fair to say that 100% of the group is paying attention. You don't need to go through the normal month long voting and road show process. You could easily release a TA and tally a vote within 24 hrs. Yes vote and you go back to build a great airline, no vote and we stay out until the come with industry standard.

I will admit I don't know what the ALPA policy is on this topic and I support our NC 100% at this time but I have a very hard time coming back from a strike just because they tell me it's a good deal. We should be the ones to decide
