Actually completing IOE is a completely different question though.

make sure you submit for reimbursement from the company. It’s their responsibility to provide bars and pins. If they don’t have them, buy them and expense.

don’t think they’re required to provide Velcro ones.

elmetal 02-09-2020 06:36 AM

contract reference that specifies that please?

Omniscient 02-09-2020 07:22 AM

The Company shall furnish required Company uniform in-signias (for example, wings, epaulets, and/or emblems).”

You’re going to have a hard time getting non Velcro ones on your jacket, when trying to be in uniform compliance

Training timeline and hotel confirmation

For those who have already started training, how many days before the start date did you received an email with hotel confirmation and a training timeline?

When I went through, I believe it was 4 days prior to starting class. You will probably hear something Wednesday/Thursday on the week before you start class.

Do the ground instructors no longer touch base with their new hire class before the start date (to make sure no one has any questions about lodging / training materials / last minute questions etc)

Mine sent an email the week before class to assign us study material and make sure we were squared away.

Same. I had MB and I’m extremely happy he was my instructor. He cared and was very good at teaching.

Hello

Any word on AQP styled training ? I heard that was under development. Has the training program for new-hires circa 2017 changed drastically, for a 2020 new hire today ?

Thank you

spirited 02-15-2020 11:06 AM

we were told AQP for CQ starting May. My guess - NH probably by end of the year

Cut Above pants color

Can someone advise the correct color pants to order from a cut above that match the company pants?

I ordered the company pants. They are terrible. But the blue is very dark and hard to find a good match.

Thanks!

The midnight blue is for United if I remember correctly so navy would be the color.

This is the correct answer. I got that answer from an A Cut Above rep.

Unless, of course, you already have your United offer and you are just looking to get ahead on your uniform order....

On the NK application it asks for instrument and instrument night time. I’ve been flying in the 121 world without logging this.. what do people typically put for these boxes? Any good rules of thumb?

general rule of thumb I’ve seen and used is 1/10th of your total time is approximately IMC.

Lululemon commission pant classic fit in navy. You are welcome!

Yeah, if/when they're back in stock. Plain navy dress pants are the elusive unicorn of the pants world in normal clothing stores.

I've only successfully found a pair in a Men's warehouse.

You seen the new JetSeam pants? Basically the same thing.

These are a perfect match to A Cut Above navy and only $50.

I still wear wool or a wool blend. Old school

100% Polyester pants like the ones above are not as comfortable to me and look like crap. Always have that shine.
