Bird in the hand....
Pride comes before the fall....
Pick your saying, they are both true. Leaving yourself open and vulnerable for a merger, codeshare, career ending illness, unspecified amount of time on ice with the NMB, downturn in the economy, terror attack, and the list goes on.
All realities that we might see
In the end, I think all this chatter is mainly moot anyways. Short of this TA being filled with horror, it will pass by 80%. Only question is what will the percentage be on the stickers for the "no voters" to place on their overnight bag. Im guessing "Im a 20%'er"
I for one will be very happy to put this crap behind us once and for all soon enough

I see everyone talking about pay and work rules on here, but not a whole lot about LTD and SCOPE. In my opinion these two are a very important part of of the future TA that is getting ready to come out. Without them industry standard LTD or SCOPE this TA is basically worthless. I mean the pay rates won't mean sh!t if you have some misfortune and can't fly again. With good LTD atleast you would be making a decent amount of money till you are 65. I read on here and some WhatUp Chats how this AIP ( soon to be TA) is a POS. Hell how did this last contract in 2010 get passed without Industry Standard SCOPE and LTD? To me the 2010 contract is POS because it didn't have these items in it. Hell the Union was even on Strike ( I applaud you all for going on strike and this is not meant to disrespect those that did you all are awesome for doing that , but how did the Union not get these items then? They had the company by the balls). I mean now instead of bargaining Conflict for more money we are having to use it to bargin for LTD and SCOPE.

Have you even read the AIP? Red/Green language remains intact. PBS has NOTHING to do with Red/Green. PBS is just a different way to bid for your schedule. Once your schedule is published, you don't use PBS again until the following month's bid. The thing about Red/Green is that 75% of the days have to be green at the beginning of IOT. The company can change the buffers all they want, just as long as 75% are green. This is the single greatest work rule we have. I know in my base, most of the days stay green throughout the month. This alone provides you with scheduling flexibility that is unheard of. The union was adamant that Red/Green wouldn't change, do you really thing they're going to goof up that language, they just have to copy/paste.
The AIP, under the PBS highlights, also discusses that open time is guaranteed to remain at current levels.

Green Red will be affected by PBS indirectly.
PBS will drop reserve requirements and the green days will be at +1.
If you have ever worked with PBS you would know that less restrictions increase your chance of being awarded your top choices.
That's why 4 days are not as important in a PBS environment.
Many bidders will elect to drop the 4 day requirement.
My base is mostly red after IOT, due to the reserve manipulation, which needs to stop in this new CBA.
Oh yea and let's drop the reserve pilots under the bus.
We are senior to avoid RES right, so who cares.
Just quoting a recent FO's view...
Did you also vote for the LMS LOA?

Although I have read the AIP, you did not read my post...

And judging from the email the MEC won't even be briefed on it until the 30th and then they have to vote on on whether it goes to the group or not. So I imagine we will have to wait until February to see any language?

Yep.
You need to look at the makeup and size of Spirit 2010 and it’ll become more clear.
