What’s $5k/mo to you for a few months or a year if you don’t have a job in 10 years or 2 years.

It will pass if the majority of pilots want to lose their this QOL, and give into the company. The company isn't losing a DIME with this contract. In fact, they probably making money off this contract. #KnowYourWorth

I understand you don't like the scope, you have been screaming it on the 30 pages you created. It's not iron clad I get it. It sure is better than what we have. A merger is most likely in the future and it has protections for that. No one can predict the future. But our economy is strong now, if this doesn't pass the company will just reshuffle the deck and we are out thousands while we wait. The economy will slow eventually and I don't want to be negotiating TA when the economy goes south.

You’re an imbecile if you don’t think history will repeat itself. The industry is cyclical, the executives that run it are not even remotely creative. Even if this industry is still in a good condition 5 years from now, you’ll still be stuck bargaining past the amendable date for 2-3 years, exactly because they got a bargain on this contract. It will be no better than the set of conditions you’re under now, except in the year 2025 or 2026. For those who make it to Spirit around the age of 33 and plan to retire at age 65, 8 years under the next contract will be 25% of your entire career. I wouldn’t be in a huge hurry to start that 8 year clock on a painful “fly it and grieve it” contract. Whackmaster is right, don’t sacrifice your leverage. You guys have waited too long to settle now. You have my support, I’ll be at your next picket!
