It's funny because just 2 weeks ago, those same people who are leaving soon were considered heroes for proving everyone's point that the 2010 contract was bad for the company. Now we have a TA, anyone leaving is going to be damned by half the pilots no matter what they do. Hypocritical isn't it?

How 'bout we recognize that every single person here is gonna vote for what they honestly believe is the best for their family, their career, and their peers, and leave the name-calling and personal attacks for management's use?
Very true. Vote for what you believe is the right choice and understand that others may have a different view.

If this guy is 30 from upgrade, that means he was here pretty much the whole time this was amendable. He ate $#!t just as long as anyone senior to him on an outdated deal. Voting yes is his prerogative, whether you like it or not.

There is a lot of stupid floating around in here. That’s why I caved and finally created an account.

Read the TA
Go to a road show if you can.
Read and utilize all available information from the TA website.
There is an all pilot conference call at 1900 on the 8th
If you must get information from another pilot, try talking with someone informed and not getting all your information from this idiotic forum.

It's almost as dumb as people making important medical decisions based on information they get online. Type in your symptoms and you'll see that it could be the common cold to full blown AIDS or anything in between. If you want to know wtf is wrong with you personally, go to the fu¢+!ng doctor. In our situation, the only way to get accurate and reliable information is from the source, ALPA. Go to roadshows, participate in the calls, email the NC, or call your rep. Basing your decision on the internet or a diatribe by your flying partner isn't the way to go.

More legs per day? Fine. I want to be as productive as possible.
Wait, you’re kidding? One transcon with 6.6 duty and 6 hours pay is more productive than four legs OAK-LAX.

Has ALPA or your MEC come out with a contract (TA) comparisons? I keep reading guys comparing the TA to other contracts but it’s all based on speculations. Would be really helpful if you guys can see a comparisons graphs, charts, or something.

Agree. Before you vote, go to a roadshow if you can.

we've all seen this time and time again. Reading the internet you'd think the thing would surely fail yet when push comes to shove it passes easily. My guess is the more senior guys really push this across the line. My prediction would be it passing by at least 60%

Normally I’d agree with you but your 6.6 hr duty day 6hr block usually gets converted into 4.5 hrs of credit thanks to trip averaging. So you’re probably doing 6.6 hrs for only 4.5 hrs of pay. I’d just assume stay in 1 or 2 time zones as long as the pay is the same.
