Must be examiner specific. It might be beneficial to know some of that **** but not required. I knew a lot of the non-bolded limitations but only because I had seen them and happened to remember them. Not a requirement.

About half of my class went to Dallas for FTDs. None for sims. They found out they were going to Dallas around the time they took their orals. So if you want to just wing it up until then, you’d probably be good. I drove to training and I’d say having my car was most beneficial after the oral.

For those of you who think that the “preamble” is part of the memory item, could you point out where it is in the COM Vol. 1 memory items?

To further drive home my point, after reciting a memory item to the examiner or checkairman on your oral, do you also have to recite to them that you will follow up with any applicable ECAM actions, COM procedure, PAX, or FA announcement???

Well of course you would. But why isn’t that listed under the memory items?

Bottom line. If it’s not listed under memory item, guess what? It’s not a memory item. And if someone tells you differently then tell them to show you where it says it’s a memory item.

Ask them “so are you wanting me to walk you through the entire emergency event? Or do you just want to know just the memory items”? Big difference!

When I start to study for a PC, I shouldn’t have to learn from APC that the preamble is part of the memory item (which it isn’t...) I should know because it is listen under the memory item section.

Just like bold and italic items are limitations you need to know.

It needs to be standardized. Plain and simple.

Yes I know “cooperate to graduate” and I know a newbie isn’t going to say anything. But if you really really wanted, you could take this to the director of training and say “hey I was asked on my oral about memory iteams, I repeated it verbatim and I was told it was wrong”.
