Well, with the insane bonuses we are starting to see the Regionals give their people to stay and wait for flow or a call from the big 6 instead of leaving for the ULCCs or the ACMIs, Spirit may need to do something sooner than later.

We have over 3000 resumes on file and the average new hire has over 5800 hrs and 2800 PIC. I think we're ok, lol.

I wonder how many of those resumes are in at other airlines. My rough estimate is 3000 pilots will be hired by the majors (including ULCC and cargo) between now and early next summer.

If you don't think things can't change quickly in this industry then you are either brand new or one of those who just lives in their little bubble. But keep laughing, I'm sure everything will just be fine in your bubble.

Relax, Francis... I've been doing this a long time, and spent far more time at the regionals during 'the lost decade' than I ever wanted to, so I'm well aware of how things can change quickly. All I'm saying is we're doing fine, for now. Yes, that can change, but I also think most guys at regionals aren't going to be persuaded by a dangling carrot of bonuses to pass up a seniority number at a career airline.
