So you use the company headset, but then decide to throw the windscreen out because you decided its a disease sponge? What happens when the next guy decides the ear foam on the headsets is an "ear wax sponge" and throws them in the trash?

Its not yours to throw in the trash, take it off if you dont want it, and put it back. Isnt that what everyone complains about, "putting the company headset back the way you found is?"

Second these. Love them. Cuts out a ton of noise and very comfortable. No way I’m using the bacteria trap ship headsets, ****ing sweaty ears, heavy smokers hacking into the mic, being sick but still at work. No thanks.

Haven’t seen a “missing mic muff” write up yet, but I look forward to seeing these now since virtually none of the company sets have them.

Bose QC25s with the UFlyMike attachment. Now everyone here who's flown with me knows my screen name because I think I'm the only one with this setup. But I love it so much! It's so versatile for uses outside flying that the $600 total price tag was a no brainer.

Definitely! I use it on my qc35s at my current company and I love it! It’s great having 1 headset for the plane, deadheads, and sitting in FBOs. Plus it’s light and the noise canceling is great. Was using telex prior and didn’t realize how much noise I was dealing with till switching to ANR.

I do use the company headset and sanitize the mic headband and ear pieces before use. First I’ve only seen maybe three mic muffs my entire time here. Secondly, ear wax sponge, really? I do wear the ear muffs but something sitting on someone’s ears is much different than something they spit on for hours and possibly let touch their mouth. Multiply that by thousands of hours and thousands of pilots and it’s gross to keep those on there. It does work better with them and since I’ve only ever seen three of them I may start bringing my own. Didnt even know you could just buy a pack of muffs. Quite honestly knowing that, they should supply them right next to the Sani-coms and the ear plugs.

Haha you all are such germaphobes. All that you charlatans need to do to stay healthy is: drink water, sleep, and open air vents to "push down germs"

I just flew a trip where both of us had QC25s. You're a little anonymous still.

All I gotta say about the ship headsets is this. I used to think you all were annoying because it sounded like you had the boom mics in your mouth when you spoke. Now since I got here, I’ve learned that all the ship sets don’t have the mic foam and most of you are oblivious and ignorant to how annoying you sound on the radio and intercom. Please avoid any words with S, P, or any letter at all or bring something with foam.

So while flying at a Regional Airline, where Meowing on guard seems to be a thing, you felt the Spirit guys were the annoying ones on the radio? But you now think it was simply due to missing mike covers? I look forward to another 20 years of your prolific and insightful posts.
