Then you must not work at NK. There is a deep clean schedule for cockpits, that have been sited in multiple company and union emails, and you can request additional cleaning at the company dirty jet email. I always cc the union environmental standards committee and its resolved quickly. Hold your fellow pilots and yourself accountable!

I've been wearing my own set since day one. ANC provides hearing protection, sanitation, and reduces fatigue. But hey, the cool kids are all 'topless!'

Pro-tip:

1.Borrow hand vac. Use it.

2. Bring cleaning wipes. Use them.

2 minutes later.....voila. Clean flight deck.

I know. Not my job, company supposed to do it and so on and so forth. You can either sit in filth, and do nothing but complain, or you can address the tail that you’re on for yourself and the crews that follow.

A lot of guys use 850’s. A smattering use lightspeed and bose. And fewer still use clarity aloft.

I use the Telex ANR 8 personally.

SO - there is enough juice on the mic line to really really run the ANR without batteries? Have you ever compared those to a Bose?
I was a Bose early adopter - have been using them 27 years... but they are bulky to carry...

Easily enough juice. The difference between the 750 and 850’s/8’s is night and day. I used Bose and UFly at my last job for over a decade. They were perfect for my needs and we never took the headsets off so they were comfortable enough for that bit of joy.

I’m not interested in hauling batteries with me for the Bose, and don’t need to listen to music at work or use them to tune out the cabin on a DH. So they’re overkill for me.

If this were a headset on all the time outfit instead of topless at 180 I’d go back to them though.

I have a deaf son, so I am particularly sensitive to the loss of hearing issue... maybe continue with Bose - cheaper than buying Telex 8 - since I already own it
