Headsets for Spirit ships

So while flying at a Regional Airline, where Meowing on guard seems to be a thing, you felt the Spirit guys were the annoying ones on the radio? But you now think it was simply due to missing mike covers? I look forward to another 20 years of your prolific and insightful posts.

All I gotta say about the ship headsets is this. I used to think you all were annoying because it sounded like you had the boom mics in your mouth when you spoke. Now since I got here, I’ve learned that all the ship sets don’t have the mic foam and most of you are oblivious and ignorant to how annoying you sound on the radio and intercom. Please avoid any words with S, P, or any letter at all or bring something with foam.

Agreed, I don’t make a big deal about it, but if someone winds up the selected speed on the climb or punches in .80/320 on the descent my headphones stay on. Half the reason is to drown out the other guy’s speaker set at about the 2 o’clock position.

Unless it's a 319, 2'o'clock is barely audible then. Those speakers are ragged out. Mmm but those brake fans!

I haven’t seen a a ship headset used without serious sanitizing. I was always a cockpit sanitizer but I’m being extra thorough now. Can anyone explain to me why the cockpits aren’t ever cleaned. Ever
